Ah no, that's me always up to offer the base I use to someone else so then I can see them making a better work out of them and get depressed: that's the masochist in me. ;)

I probably won't do it, after all. Not getting good ideas. I thought about using a pair of whales for ST IV because they are the ones who actually saved Earth, but... would it work to have only Kirk and Spock be thanked for saving Earth in ST I? *me wonders*
