The prestigious Abrukhausu magazine wants to interview Spock and feature a photo shoot with the Vulcan heir with his illustrious new submissive.
What could possibly go wrong?

Notes #2: First time doing a gif. There weren't enough screencaps to make the gif as fluid as I'd liked it and the video cannot be found anywhere, so there really wasn't any choice. :(
Notes #3: I returned to manip because of this. I still was in my "I don't feel like opening PS anymore" mood but I was saving this Pine for Halloween since November of last year and I couldn't stand wait until yet another year for Halloween 2016.
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): The making of this thing includes me saving the PSD file at the wrong moment (after I temporarily deleted all the layers to animate just the merged frames) and therefore me making wasting an hour to remake what I lost.

About the manip: Spock joins Jim in his captain-slash-mate attempt at be a good captain and do some PR, as per Starfleet gentle orders.

Notes: Oh dear, Spock here's too beefy to be a Spock, even if a warrior Spock...
Notes #2: Spock's tattooes are Vulcan insigna called terseht, tattooes every Vulcan warriors earns when winning a fight and raising throught the Vulcan males' hierarchy, usually made on the upper body where skin is more likely to be shown. On his right pec there is his clan's crest.
Notes #3: Obviously Jim and Spock don't share a tattoo with my name. XD XD
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): Originally, both bases were to be turned into Jim manips to follow the "At the farm" series. However, I didn't find a decent Chris Pine face that would come with the "quite unique" - and fucking bastard - angle of the model's face. I decided then to see if Zachary Quinto was nicer and cooperated. Surprise, he did: exactly the damn fucking bastard angle! Love you, Zach! XD
Ok, so I went and manipped Spock, which took me a shameful too little time, even with the whole add-Spock-features bit.
I then go to the next one, as I'm all "let's do that other one with Jim". and I have the idea to try and see if I could paste them as one, instead of two stand-alone pieces. I had to build from scratch the missing part of Jim horse's nose, which was duh, and the lights on Jim are a little bit different from the ones on Spock, but... yeah, it's not that I will ever be totally satisfied so I decided to just go and post it before I could change my mind. :D

About the manip: Jim might've forgotten a piece of his uniform - or the same piece might've met its fate. Knowing Spock, I doubt Jim have been allowed to step on the transporter this naked. Fine, the collar is for everyone to see, but Spock doesn't really like it when his mate can be ogled. :D
Info from the universe: Despite admitting the usefulness of phasers and the like, Spock - as most of the Vulcans - favors less futuristic weapons so, when the mission allows it, Spock packs his loyal lirpa on his back and relies on the knife - the knife that has been given to him when graduated from the training camp as warrior - in his right holster.
Jim, on the other hand, is more businesslike: phasers are more quick and efficient and they do their job. He might also not be so trained like Vulcans so he sticks to technology - though he brings a knife as well in the holster on his back, just to be sure (and perhaps because Spock has not so gently ordered him to).
Info from the universe #2: Little note about Jim's tattooes. On left side there's "Enterprise": he and Scotty got the tattoo together. On the left arm, inside: a quote (we never got to find the right one so for now is "unknown author quote"). Left shoulder: a dragon. Left pec: "Property of S’chn T’gai Spock" in ancient Vulcan. When Vulcans still had slaves, they marked their slaves like this; by now it's just a forgotten custom, but Jim decided to have it as gift to his hubby.
He has others on his back and a snake riding his right leg. ;)
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): If my PC hasn't killed himself during working on this manip, I guess I can be sure it'll survive still many more years - hope so, at leas. The original file was 3800px in width and was 130mb heavy: it wouldn't be much, for an average PC, but mine is an old mule running on Windows 2000 and with a meager 256kb of RAM, so you may see how hard on resources has been this manip. I also have less than 3gb free on my disk, and the Photoshop temporary files ended up filling ALL the free space at one point. Oh well, both I and the PC have survived. :D
About the manip itself: I stumbled upon an awesome promo shot from tv-show Arrow last year (last modified date on the image says 12th June 2013) and decided that it could be a good base for a mirror!Kirk manip. Searching for an HQ version of it I found another that was perfect for Spock so I saved them to be used sooner or later. Did I say that they were very, very HQ? It usually takes me lot of time to find stocks/images that fit what I have in my mind, but when you're working with a base so big, the task is double hard. Take the lirpa: I decided to add it because I didn't want to hassle myself in removing that harness Spock's base wears (originally is to hold the bow), but I didn't have any decent image, especially as much big as the base asked. I ended up making one from scratch using a mezzaluna knife as blade. When I'm searching for some embossed decoration to add to the blade (and after searching for half an hour uselessly)... I find a good decorated-blade axe. Duh!

About the manip: George "Marshmallow" Kirk, at some point in the early weeks of his second fatherhood, is promoted captain: his little Jimmy immediately gets a plushie of the Kelvin and, even if he should be sympathetic with his lady, George gets all swoony when Jim chews at her only nacelle. The bodysuit is one of his purchases as well (see how he spends his well-earned Starfleet officer's money!).

About the manip: Jim tried many jobs but, for one reason or another, he'd been kicked out of all of them in a blink (his worst record might be lasting one hour). The last he took, before being dragged by the leash loosing a gamble with Gaila and be forced to enlisting, was working behind the counter at a music club named The Temple. Two months into it, and when Jim was about to get his master in mixing cocktails (and tips for his smile were making him definitely happy at the end of the month), the club changed managment. A huge overhaul turned a club where you went to listen to good music and drink into a interracial mixing club, and Jim'd been offered another job: be one of the club's go-go boys. Though Gaila hadn't really been a full-time worker there, she happened to do a show or two when she was in the mood or she needed some extra money to have an happy shopping spree (or they were short of cash because Jim bought something very old and obscenely expensive).
At the time they still were an item, with Gaila being very possessive about her kitty tiger, who wasn't really allowed to stray (she kept the leash short, so to speak).
Kind of follow up of Babylon's caged le-matya.
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): Roughly set up (Gaila only) in... OMFG October 2011?? and then forgotten there until yesterday. Put together in few hours and uploaded as soon as deemed finished. I'm not completely satisfied but I know I won't be able to fix it further. Also, Photoshop stuck at some time, deciding to "not complete the Save command" because of RAM issues, and this resulted in losing one hour of work. T_T Stupid me to not ctrl+save, I know. Gimme back Corel's PSP autosaving feature!! ç_ç

Upon further examination by yours truly (aka, the harshest judge of herself and her works), I decided the two parts were clearing not merging together (different hue, different light, wrong direction of said light), so I cut the whole upper bit out. Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): I wasn't the least satisfied with this one, but you manippers out there know how harder it is to work with Spock than with Jim, with the whole "you cannot use any other image of the actor". I needed a more "unruly look" Spock, and this leaves only Zachary in the screentest from STXI BTS, not much to work on.
