About the edit: Genderswapped version of the crew (as seen here).
Notes: Lieutenant 1701 is the humanoid version of the USS Enterprise (see this post for more info). Since in this universe everyone has the opposite gender, the Enterprise (and ships) is referred to as a "he" and therefore Silver Lord.

One last, and I mean LAST time (heard me, Hakka??!), in early March 2022 (published March 06), when I completely revamped the graphic to try to make these edit a bit shorter when there's a big crew cast (to then discover Tumblr has upped the max height size to 3072 -.-).
Notes 5: It has been brought to my attention that the actress who once went by the name Ellen has come out and now goes by he/they under the chosen name Elliot. This fancasting was picked in 2016, when this piece was put together and originally published, and does reflect who Elliot went by at the time (she/Ellen). For these reasons, I won't cancel or remake this manip with another fancasting, but I felt the note was necessary to acknowledge that this fancasting couldn't work anymore and I would pick another actress if I were to make it in 2021.
This might be a good reason to headcanon Pavla as coming out and becoming Pavel in a time after this (fake) pic was supposed to be taken. ;)
About the names: Keensera is the name for the female Kenseer in "Parallel lives" (Star Trek #29/#30).
I decided that, in a world where the "canon" sex of everyone is swapped, then perhaps Gaila's mother would've picked the same names for her children and just switched them. Gaila's and her brother Kai appear in "Reunion" (Star Trek 53/54); in the end of this comic Gaila applied to be transferred on the USS Enterprise (where her brother serves).
Lieutenant Moto was named to an homage after the make-up effects sculptor Moto Hata, the man who designed the alien/mask and passed away in 2009. For the alien's female version, I chose to switch to the artist's surname.
Matthew is a masculine name related to May, from which Mae (Darwin's comics-canon name) seems to derive.
There's no canon name to the TOS character Kyle, whom Chris Doohan claims he played in the AOS movies; "Christopher" was in honor to him. To not resort to the classic "Christine" I chose the Kristeen, which apparently is a Scottish equivalent of Christine. Even if Kyle isn't Scottish and Chris - like his father - isn't Scottish either.
I explained the meaning of the other crew members' names at their manips: you can find them under the series tag or under the character's own tag.
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): Ah ah. This thing was a nightmare. I've been working on this since... way before summer. Every time I felt it was finished... I had the idea to change something (position of the Fleet logo, it was meant to take a square and be a "log in" page instead of be an header), then I needed to fill a blank hole, then it was another character I felt I had to add, then came the idea to make an edit for the canon crew (with additional characters) and I had the two version to reflect each other and so on. I swear, nightmare.

Notes: My headcanon (and not only mine) face for reboot!Janice is Kristen Bell (as you can see here). I wanted to find some male actor that could somehow remind of her but... epic fail. Charlie is blonde, I love Charlie since Queer as Folk UK and he's definitely gorgeous in the pic I used so... Hm. Sue me. :D
About the name: In "Parallel lives" (Star Trek #29/#30), the male Yeoman Rand is called Jason. Since Janice is one of the female forms of John, I decided to use John instead of the comic-canon Jason.
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): The pic I used came from the gold version of the red uniform used for Uhura: same model, same damn phaser, same damn fabric patch. Oh, and I hatehatehate the patterned-tunic, despite loving these uniforms to death: reconstruct the fabric to hide the rank stripes or the patch? Not so funny.

Notes: For a female Cupcake I wanted someone who could fit as Chief Security Officer. I admit I considered Michelle Rodriguez and Cote De Pablo (Ziva from NCIS) but Deadpool movie is still fresh and Gina just clicked: Michelle and Cote (especially Cote) don't have the imposing body that Gina has so. Not that you'll see that body, in a manip.
Hm. Oh well, Michelle and Cote can both be other security officers, Cuppy's best friends!
About the name: Poor Cupcake doesn't have a canon name, while the comics established his initials as G.P, so G.P it is.

Notes: My (and not only mine) headcanon face for reboot!Chapel is Rachael Taylor (as you can see here). I admit I had no idea which actor could fit this role: while searching for blond actors Simon Baker popped up. I loved him in The Guardian and, bam, he was perfect: perhaps it's only me, but I feel he has something that reminds me of Rachael Taylor.
About the name: Well, the name choice was a given. :D
Notes #2: I’ve given him the Lieutenant stripe because - as some nice soul pointed out to me - Chapel eventually gets promoted Lieutenant during the Animated Series. It frankly did seem idiotic to me that Chapel, who clearly is McCoy’s second-in-command, didn’t even have a rank in TOS.
Tec stuffs (aka Behind The Manip): Tried to give Simon a hair color similar to TOS Chapel, who had blond hair that were almost white at times. I pretty much forgot to do the same to my two reboot!Chapel manips! D:

Notes: This one was hard. I spent hours searching for Russian actresses but I didn't have much luck: they either had too little choice of pics (and I like to pick celebrities that offer plenty of pics, for my manips) or they just didn't feel like the perfect choice. So I had to broad the search with young actresses and yeah, Ellen Paige seemed to work. She isn't in any way related to Russia though. :(

About the name: The feminine form for Pavel is Pavla. In Russia, surnames get a feminine form for daughters, so Chekova.
In "Parallel lives" (Star Trek #29/#30), the female Chekov is called Pavlovna Chekov. I originally named the female counterpart of Chekov months before the comic came out for a WIP fic, and I like my choice better.

About the name: In "Parallel lives" (Star Trek #29/#30), the female Scotty is named Marjorie, which doesn't sound to me very Scottish (research didn't help me). I searched, therefore, a name that could be of Scottish origins and Moira popped up.

About the name: In "Parallel lives" (Star Trek #29/#30), the female Bones is named Lea. I originally came up with "Leonore" years ago and I don't particularly like Lea, so...

I admit I might've started to consider Scarlett Johansson because of the gorgeous lips (my matriarchy-timeline, all!female crew, which isn't an AU for TOS or AOS, features Angie Jolie for Jean Kirk, just saying...), but then Scarlet cut her hair and I was sold! I always pictured any AOS female!Kirk with short hair and Scarlett's undercut? I couldn't resist even if I wanted! :D
About the name: In "Parallel lives" (Star Trek #29/#30), the female Captain Kirk is called Jane Tiberia. I decided years ago that my female Kirk would have the name "Jean" (in honor to X'Men's Jean Grey), and this name stay.
By the way, this half-canon "Tiberia" choice is popular in fandom as well but IT MAKES NO SENSE IN LATIN: there's no female form for Tiberius. Please pick another Latin name, if you really feel like giving female!Kirk an Ancient-Rome middle name. ç_ç

For female!Spock I always envisioned JAG's Catherine Bell, but she didn't work as a female version of Zach's Spock (she still is the T'Pock for the Angie!Kirk, though). Another face for T'Pock (she's a T'Pock in another AU/timeline's of mine) was Xena's Adrienne Wilkinson but, again, I wasn't completely sure she was right for that specific Spock. Plus, both Catherine and Adrienne have so few good quality pics that do manips with them is a nightmare.
I was trying to find an actress who could convey the asshole-isness that is AOS!Spock and, well... Natalie Dormer seems perfect to me.
